Today I want to announce a big change to the way I do affiliate promotions:

 

 

Besides being a product vendor who sells his own software and training I also do affiliate marketing. If after extensively testing something I feel it is a good value I may suggest it to my followers. Often, because I also like my followers to get the best deal and value possible I will offer one of my own products as a special bonus for anyone who picks up the product I am suggesting though me.

However I realized that this can be unfair to my most loyal followers because many of them will already have the product I am promoting. This has always caused a conflict. On one hand I want to give my new followers the opportunity to get something that they dont have, but on the other hand I dont want to ‘leave out’ my most loyal followers who already have the bonus I am giving away.

Because of this I decided that the only fair thing to do is to implement a ‘bonus exchange’ policy. With this new  policy, if I offer a bonus (of my own product), and one of my followers already has the bonus I am offering, they may exchange that bonus which they already have for a similar bonus of one of my other products. It is important to note that this needs be a even exchange (in value though) though. For example: a plugin can be exchanged for a different plugin, A SaaS can be exchanged for a different SaaS (or a plugin), a Agency can be exchanged for a different Agency (or a SaaS, or a plugin).

To facilitate this exchange one only needs to send the following information to my support  desk (support@oursupportdesk.zendesk.com)

• The receipt ID for the product they purchased through me as an affiliate
• The name of the existing bonus which they wish to exchange that I offered in the affiliate promotion
• The name of the product that they would like to exchange for

This policy will go into effect on 10/01/2017 and will apply to promotions and bonuses I offer from that point forward. I feel like this is the best and most fair way to give all of my followers, new and old, the best value possible. If you have any questions or comments feel to reach out to me.
