Today Im taking a look at a new training called The Automatic List System:

With a name like how could I not want to check it out. I mean we all know the money is in the list and who would not want to build up their list automatically? I sure would. So first lets take a look at what the sales page tells us:

Well that sounds great. Build a list of 2000+ subscribers in record time (and its automatic). So I got a review copy and went to checking it out.

This training is provided as a .PDF and unfortunately this is not a secret to building anything. What it is in reality is very basic training. Info that can be had for free.  Basically this talks about squeeze pages. It really just covers the very well known tactic. Build a squeeze page, send traffic to the squeeze page.

While this would be fine if it actually offered some real insight or detailed info that is not well known unfortunately this does not offer anything more than very basic, well know, free info. It gives no real insight or method to build great pages or to get traffic etc.

For example here is what is said about using social media to send traffic to your squeeze page:

1

That’s litterly the entire thing. Right there is the entire section on using social media to get traffic. Its so small I can actually use it under ‘fair use’ without a copyright infringement. Its laughable that anyone would call this training. It also gives you an idea on how general the info this training provides is.

“Post their link to sites like twitter, facebook, digg, furl, linkedin, etc” .. wow never would have thought of that!  What a brilliant tactic that no one else is using! Also I didnt know that all I had to do was post to these sites and I would “Go viral with social media”. Who would have guessed it was that easy! (can you feel the sarcasm I’m trying to convey)

This is just one example. The entire PDF training is general like this offering no real detail and as I said just spitting out common knowledge. There is no way this should be a paid product. It might be ok for a free giveaway on a squeeze page or something but asking people to pay their money for this is an insult.

If your entirely new, like totally new and never heard of IM at all, this might give some value. But even then, since it gives no real detail, it would probably just leave to total newbie with more questions than answers. For anyone who has any knowledge about marketing this would be a total waste of money. In fact for most people this is going to be a total waste of money.

Ill be honest it kind of gets under my skin seeing so called ‘marketers’ release these low quality, rehashed products that are filled only with common knowledge. It gives all product vendors a bad name and it leaves buyers with a bad taste in their mouth. For this one Im going to say save  your money. This is a total waste for almost everyone but the total newbie and even then the total newbie would be much better off going to a free forum like the Warrior Forum and getting more detailed info for free (and be able to ask questions).

A quick note about the reviews I do on this site. The product vendors give me access to their products for free in order for me to do my review. However I make no promises to them regarding the results of my tests or what I will write in my review. Should you click a link that takes you to a sales page for a paid product for sale this link will be an affiliate link and I will be paid a percentage of the sales price should you decide to invest in it.

WoW, an ACTUAL negative review….How REFRESHING!!!

I think the LAST review I read that wasn’t an actual affiliate PROMO or link was sometime last CENTURY (2013 to be EXACT)…

Very NICE Brett, thanks for the heads up…

Youll get used to it 🙂 I dont pitch products I review them. When I feel they are bad investments I say it.

Yes, Brett is the real deal. I only wish he had the time to review all of the various offers choking my gmail account.

At this point I read all of these offers just to learn how to (and how not to) write good sales copy.

But when I’m intrigued about a product, I check my special “IM Watchdog” folder (marked “Always Important” & “Always Starred”) and get the REAL story about the product from Brett’s reviews.

    Hey Brett,

You know that I’m struggling with list building right now, so this is some money I might have lost if you hadn’t done this review. Again I appreciate what you do.
