Today I’m doing a review of a new software called FanContact
Check out my full review video below, then have a look at some of the cool bonuses I got for anyone who picks up FanContact through my link. Also, in the video I repeatedly called this software FanConnect by mistake, sorry about that. After testing all night to do my review video I must have been a little more tired than I realized.
I originally became interested in Fan Contact when the vendor messaged me with a screenshot of him using it in a promotion for a software launch I was involved in. Honestly my first thought was that I had to confirm that the results in the screenshot where real. However after I did I wanted to check out this new software for myself.
FanContact is a two part Facebook marketing system that utilizes posts and Facebook messages. You can check out the video above for a walk through, but I will also cover each part in summery in this article.
First is the bot aspect of Fan Contact:
Many people have seen Facebook message bots before. The way they work is you make a post to your fan page telling people to comment for more info, a link, a coupon code (whatever) and the bot will automatically respond with a message (which can have a clickable link in it as well).
The reason people use this kind of system is because of edge rank. Facebooks edge rank algorithm is what determines if something shows in peoples timelines. On of the main factors in getting a high edge rank is engagement. Facebook rightfully assumes that if people are engaging with a post (commenting on it) it must be something that other people will be interested in seeing. By posting a message that entices to comment you are increasing your engagement, your edge rank, and helping even more people to see it.
So for example you say: “want a free {what ever}” comment “I want it” and Ill send you a download link. This entices people to comment, then the bot auto replys with a link to download whatever it is (likely the link will point to a squeeze page so you can build a list). Since people are engaging edge rank goes up and even more people see the post, which causes more engagement .. and on and on .. Sure you can auto respond to every comment manually but that would be super time consuming. A bot, like the one built into Fan Contact makes it all automatic.
Second is the mass message aspect of Fan Contact:
With FanContact you can actually build a list of people (kind of like an email list) that you can send mass messages to people. In order to get people added to your list you simply need to get them to message you once. I have seen other systems like this, but where Fan Contact stands out is that it allows you to add old people who have contacted you in the past into your list.
Once you have a list built up you can then send them messages, with graphics, videos and clickable links via Facebook messenger. This is actually how the vendor was able to use Fan Contact in his promotion for the software launch I was a part of. He had built up a list of people interested in internet marketing and them mass messaged them a link to his bonus page to get sales from that list.
The advantage here is that you can get the power of Email marketing without the disadvantages of email. Things like low deliverability (though Fan Contact was not 100% in my tests it was very high) and high monthly fees do not exist with a system that uses Facebook.
Now I will be totally honest. I do not believe mass messages on Facebook will ever totally replace email. Email is a long standing staple of internet marketing. However the smart marketer diversifies and takes advantage of every opportunity to contact potential customers.
So what do I think of this over all? Well I like the bot, but I really like the message aspect. While I wish this worked with groups, I also know that because of Facebooks API limitations Fan Contact is only for fan pages. Because of this I’m going to say: If your using fan pages, or plan on using them, and do not currently have a system like Fan Contact then this is something you might seriously consider investing in.
Bonus: The vendor has provided me with the following bonus pack for anyone who picks up Fan Contact through me.

A quick note about the reviews I do on this site. The product vendors give me access to their products for free in order for me to do my review. However I make no promises to them regarding the results of my tests or what I will write in my review. Should you click a link that takes you to a sales page for a paid product for sale this link will be an affiliate link and I will be paid a percentage of the sales price should you decide to invest in it.
One flaw thing about this is that you will need to purchase MANY and I mean MANY OTOs to use it to its full potential. Also did you get a chance to test if it works for Dark Posts?
There is nothing that I spoke about, showed, or said I liked about this product that requires an OTO purchase. So if you like or want the features that are explained by me for the reasons I stated then the OTO’s are not required in any way. And no Im not a fan of Dark Posts actually 🙂
I have found its strength beyond the obvious segmentation of marketing lists it creates with instant upload to the list is it uses its own bot and is not dependent upon the API calls like some similar products. Yes, the OTO’s are a great action move too for me.
