Master Funnel Creation! [REVIEW]

Today Im doing a review of a WSO  (Warrior Special Offer) free product called Master Funnel Creation.

Now you might be wondering why I would want to do a review on a free product? Well there are a couple of reasons. First these products might seem free, and while they are free in an initial monetary sense they are not actually totally free (Ill explain more in a bit). Second the Warrior forum WSO section is becoming flooded with these kinds of products. Free training offers that require you to opt in to get the offer. Basically just links to a squeeze page.

Ok so in the WSO thread the creator of this product “One Marketer Reveals Absolutely Everything You Need to Make $1,000’s From One $7 Sale!”. Well being the over analytical person I am I had to laugh at this right from the start since its imposable to make thousands from one $7 sale. No matter how you look at it one $7 sale is only going to make you $7. Its really easy math $7 per sale X 1 = $7.

Brett Rutecky is the only product review that gives 100% honest reviews of internet marketing products

But then I started thinking, ‘well the creator of this product is from Ireland so perhaps this is just a language error and perhaps Im being to picky, Ill check it out anyway’. So I clicked the link and was promptly taken to the expected squeeze page where I had to opt in to get the free training.

Want to know the truth about internet marketing products? Brett Rutecky gives 100% honest reviews.

Ok sounds like a great deal. This guy is going to give me everything I need to succeed online! For free! All I need to do is enter my email address below. Awesome! Sounds great! Im in! So I enter my email and get taken to my training. This is what I see.

Right up top is the training video. A single 10 minute video. Hmm this guy is going to teach me everything I need to know to be a successful marketer in only 10 minutes? Wow! He must be the best teacher in the world. Needless to say I was skeptical. What I really think is that he is going to give me a little info, just enough to want more and then is going to hit me up with a product offer in 12 days or so (can you guess why I say in 12 days).

So after watching the video I will say that while the speaker has a fairly heavy accent I did find it well spoken and easy to understand. The video is a quality video that does give some valuable information but it is hardly ‘everything you need to know’. Its more like a beginners starting training. For the life of me I can’t understand why so many people in the IM industry refuse to be totally honest  and have to make their products (even the free ones it seems) out to be much more than they really are. Why couldn’t this guy say ‘free basic training to get you started’? That would have been honest, and there are plenty of people just getting started that would be interested. Instead he says will ‘teach you everything you need to know to make thousands’? That’s a flat out lie. Lying to people is not a good way to start a relationship with them. Its such a shame to because the video does do a decent job of explaining the basics of the sales funnel. There was no reason to over hype and make the false claim that it will ‘teach you everything you need to succeed online’. I just don’t understand why this guy decided to use hype instead of being honest.

The real reason for this of course was just to get my email so he can market his product to me later. While I dont think this kind of list building is bad in general I do think the way this guy handled it was. First he over hyped his free training. That leads me to believe that he is going to really over hype his paid product. So right from the start I dont trust him.

Second and this is really important (to me at least). The video is a YouTube video, that is public! That’s right I just opted in to some guys email list to get a publicly available YouTube video! Honestly I have to say: even though it was free, I feel kind of cheated. This guy did get my email after all and now I have to get his promos in my inbox and all he did was link me to a public YouTube video. In fact since its a public video I can include it right here for you.

Ok so now I want to talk about what the real cost of these kinds of free offers are. First, of course you are going to get put on someones email list. What is this person going to do? He is going to send you offers So the cost is that you have to get hit up with a bunch of marketing emails. Sure you can always unsubscribe but that’s a pain. While going through would be probably be worth it if you are getting something of actual value for free it for sure is not worth it to get a link to a publicly available YouTube video.

That’s actually why I wanted to do a review on these free training opt in products that are showing up all over the Warrior forum WSO section. While I used this particular one for an example here I actually checked out half a dozen of them and in each instance the training was over hyped, or was flat out garbage.
Often people will be tempted into entering their email into these kinds of things but you need the be very picky. When you see descriptions like “will teach you everything” or “complete blue print” or “insider information” that should be a big red flag. In fact you might want to stay away from free training all together. Why? Because free training tends to be the worst kind of free product.  While this one was good and just over hyped. Because of the ease of making a video many of them are just plain garbage.Things like software or graphics packs take time, money or skill to create (or all three) but anyone can run a screen cast program and make a video.

Opting into these kind of offers is like calling a telemarketer and giving him your cell phone number. Its really crazy when you think about it.

[list_magnet id=”1″]A quick note about the reviews I do on this site. The product vendors give me access to their products for free in order for me to do my review. However I make no promises to them regarding the results of my tests or what I will write in my review. Should you click a link that takes you to a sales page for a paid product for sale this link will be an affiliate link and I will be paid a percentage of the sales price should you decide to invest in it.

Thanks for another honest review brett. That WSO creator fergal releases pure trash. It seems he releases another mediocre WSO every few days. I bought one of his first ones and quickly identified the type of quality his products are. May be ok for some beginners but if you’ve been marketing for more than 5 monutes you will be disappointed.

Hi Brett thanks for this review, however I’m more interested in that talking popup maybe you could do a review with it one day!

Ha! So you like the pop up that talks 🙂 Well Im going to take that as a BIG complement because I wrote it for myself 🙂 Unfortunatlly this means I cant do a review on it since its my own work. But since it something I made just for myself Im the only one who has it anyway. I am considering releasing it as a low cost product, however I need to make sure that it works well first.

I think anyone who doesn’t have an email address they use for these types of offers is crazy! Even with that 2nd email address you should enter Free and something descriptive if they ask for a last name too.

Then you can login to that account once in awhile and sort them according to first name, last name, sender or product promoted and the picture it paints can be pretty interesting.
